Gooseberry

I have a lot to catch up on, so here is a start.  Emma was able to go to Gooseberry on her 3rd grade field trip.  Just like with Madison I am wondering how she is old enough for this.  She had such a great time.  She learned how to use a compass and about the three 'ingredients' to make a fire.

She learned about trees and animals  and how to safely enjoy nature.  It is such a neat opportunity for all of these little 3rd graders
Emma and her cousin Jake are in the same class at school this year and are having so much fun.  They were both so lucky to have their dads come and spend the night with them at Gooseberry.
Tom and Emma stayed in their own tent at the campgound.  They didn't get much sleep since it was the coldest night we had up to that point, but they made the most of it by building a fire and talking about Annie Bangs.

There was the dreaded 'dancing with a boy' but I think she really enjoyed it.  Emma was shining a  flashlight in her face while waiting for Annie Bangs to come.  Annie Bangs did come with her white hair and red dress, she did not disappoint.  It was a great time and a fun tradition and I am glad Emma was able to go.
