This is why my house is a mess

That's right, these feet are constantly bringing dirt into my house. The kids know that they have to take their shoes off when they come in, but what do you do when you go out without shoes? the alternative would be turning on the hose and washing their feet, but that would equal mud, so I guess I will take the lesser of two evils and clean up the dirt. Man I miss grass...
Sorry to all of you who have seen my dirty floors dark wood and red dirt just don't mix.

Happy Easter.

Here are my cute kids in their easter clothes. It was always a tradition for me as a child to get a new easter dress so I now do that for my kids. It is so fun to buy my girls matching dresses and they love it, and who knows how long that will last, so I try to take advantage of it. And C.J. in the blue color, I just love it. I contemplated buying him a pink shirt, but I knew that if I did Tom would not let him wear it. But all three of them look darling, I just Love this time of year.
So the Easter bunny brought each of our kids a chocolate bunny and C.J. did not hesitate to dig in early Saturday morning. It was so funny. When he took the first bite, an ear, he was devistated to find out that it was hallow. So he took a bite of the feet and found the same thing. It was so funny. Over the past 3 days he has consumed the entire bunny, thanks easter bunny...

These are a few pictures from the easter Egg hunt at G & G Bogh's house. Saturday we went to Mayfield for an Egg hunt (as you can see from the pictures Emma is walking, that is a story in its self) There was a lot of candy and money in the eggs. As you can tell from the picture of Colby in the tree some of the eggs were very hard to get to, thanks to my husband. It was a fun day with soem of the Bogh cousins.

Coloring Easter Eggs: Each of the kids had their own method. Emma-very slow and conservative, checking the color every few seconds to see if it was ready or not. She made some beautiful striped eggs and never got a drop of color on her hands. Madision-She did a lot of drawing with a white crayon, her name flowers, chicks, when it came to dying the eggs she would throw them in very color and could care less about getting the color on her hands, she had greenish brown fingernails for a few days. Her eggs were very beautiful and decorative. C.J.- dunk as many eggs as you can as fast as you can. He cared about getting it done and moving on to the next thing. He is such a boy. His eggs were very light in color and one solid color.

Our BRAVE Girl!

Emma had surgery on Tuesday to remove the hardware that was left in her right hip almost three years ago. She was so brave and we are so proud of her.

She felt very safe sitting on dad's lap while they did the pre-op physical and tests, she was a little nervous at this point, but did great.
During her pre-op physical they noticed her bottom tooth that was very wiggily and told us that after she was out they would pull to tooth for safety becasue there is a chance of her chewing on the tube while she was intubated and cholking on the tooth. You can also tell from the picture that it was taken after they had given her the Versed and she was starting to feel really sleepy. She was sunggled into a padded wagon with her new friend Bolt.
She is definately a pro at post-op. She knew that she had to drink alot of juice so that they would take the straw (IV) out of her hand. So she watched cartoons and drank her juice.
She rode on a wheelchair down to the pharmacy where we got her prescription filled. It was here that she realized her tooth was really gone so she smiled big for a picture. The Dr. had told us that as soon as they intubated her the tooth popped out. So they had put her tooth in a jar with $1. She was so excited to have lost her tooth!
So this is what was removed from her femur. Two plates and four screws. At this point she is doing pretty good. We are keeping her medicated and she can't walk at this point, but she is happy. We have been so blessed with great family and friends who have been so supportive of Emma through all of her surgeries, and we are always amazed by her strength and attitude.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

On Saturday Lin's had a breakfast with the Easter Bunny. It was really fun for the kids. They served donuts and milk, along with activites such as face painting, crafts, and cookie frosting. It was really fun for the kids, they thought it was great until... the Easter Bunny came out. The girls were ok and thought that it would be fun to get a plastic egg and a picture with him (or maybe her it is still a debate at our house) C.J. on the other hand was not going to have any thing to do with THE BUNNY. As you can tell from the picture above he was not excited about that at all.
