SPRING??..it was in the 40's

It was the first warm day we have had in a long time, so we went to the park, it was still a little chilly but it was fun. The kids had a great time just being able to run around and play. It was really nice. This is the first time in along time that I haven't had to worry a lot about any of the kids at the park. C.J. is pretty brave and would go on everything by himself, so it was actually kind of relaxing. You also have to notice C.J.'s hat. It is a new favorite he is wearing it for about the 12th day in a row, and he even sleeps in it most nights, he is completely obsessed with it, and just like a boy he has to adjust it and make it fit perfectly, it is so crazy he is growing up so fast. Anyway we are here hoping that spring will be here soon, I know it's only February, but we are ready to get out and play!

Bowling!

I think this is the first time we have taken our kids bowling in like 3 years, that is pretty sad, now that I see how much they liked it. The pictures are kid of hard to see, but C.J. just wanted to kick the ball down the lane, and he actually did a pretty good job. Emma thought it was great and after every toss of the ball she gave a thumbs up! ( her balls moved so slowly down the floor, that some of them actually stopped part way down) She did a great job!Madison is the one who did awesome. She had the best score of all of the kids, and she
beat me too, and yes even the adults had bumpers, pretty sad. We had a great time and hopefully we will do it again soon!

Tubing

Sorry, there are a ton of pictures with this post, I just got so many good ones that I had to put a lot of them on. Last Saturday (2-9-08) The Thalman family went tubing. We had so much fun. The weather was perfect, even warm, most of us ended up taking our coats off and we all got sunburned. The kids loved it, that includes Tom. He was the one that I was worried about. He was making jumps to go over and all that crazy stuff. We got away with very few injuries and no broken bones, so I was happy.

All Aboard!

I got this hat for C.J. because it was different than all of his baseball hats, but it didn't hit me that it looked like a conductors hat until he came out of his room with the hat on and his train following him. He really loves hats right now and he still loves his Geo-Trax train that he got for his Birthday. (Sorry about the sideways picture, I still haven't figured out how to rotate them)

Sick

Poor Madison has been sick the last part of this week, but I finally got her to smile, I hope that is a sign that she is starting to feel better. We have all had a sort of cold/flu thing going around our house, but I hope we are almost done with it!

New Haircut!

Here are some pictures of Emma's new haircut. Just before Christmas she decided to cut her own hair, and I just couldn't decide what to do with it, but it stared to look so stragely and thin so I decided to cut it last night. We cut about four inches off in some spots, and now her hair looks a lot thicker, and she really likes it. The only bad thing is that it makes her look older :(

New First Presidency.

It is really going to be different seeing these three men as the first presidency, but it is very exciting. I still can't believe that we are not going to be seeing Pres. Hinckley at general conference, but it is so good to know that the church is true and that it is going to continue to grow because Heavenly Father will always lead us. It was hard to Pres. Hinckely go, but we are so happy that he can be with his sweet wife and loved ones again, this must be such a joyous time for them. I love President Monson and I am excited to see him in this position. He is such a humble man with an amazing testimony I know that I will continue to learn from him and his influence will be a great one for the church.
