May

I have decided that May is the busiest month of the year. Yes, even busier than December.  Here is a quick recap of the month.
Nothing says 'welcome spring' better than crazy make-up in soft spring colors.
Allie's one day attempt and potty training.  She did well for that one day, then the rest of the month was so busy, so we are still enjoying diaper changing duty around here.
Madison dancing at a benefit concert. ' Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy'. I am pretty sure that we wore those tops when I was in drill team forever ago.

Madison graduated from D.A.R.E

C.J. lost his first tooth.  It wasn't too loose, but eating a laffy taffy at G&G's house provided enough pull the get it out, as for the tooth it was never found, probably in his tummy, but the tooth fairy came anyway.
C.J. is playing his first year of coach pitch and loves every second of it.

He is on a team with two of his cousins, so that makes it even better.  GOOOOO GRASSHOPPERS!

Emma earned her green dot t-shirt for mastering all of the 2nd grade skills.

C.J. was the 'little dog who laughed' in the nursery rhyme 'Hey Diddle Diddle' for his school program.  He told me just prior to this picture that he was not going to smile, and he didn't...silly boy, singing is not his thing.

Going to Home Depot, on the other hand, and being able to build a bug cage was right up his alley.

Selling stuff is another activity he enjoys very much.  This day it was fruit roll-ups and gushers.

Madison her her 5th grade program.  It was a patriotic program and it was very good.  Madison has loved 5th grade. She had a great class, and while the thought of her going to middle school next year makes me queasy, she is excited about it.
Madison also danced at Lagoon again this year.  They ended up taking first place in their ballet and third in their tap dance.  It was a fun day.

Are you exhaused yet? Allie certainly was. While waiting for the solar eclipse she fell asleep after Tom sat her on the couch for half a second.
I didn't get a good picture of the eclipse

But you could see it pretty well of you looked though 4 pairs of sunglasses.

C.J. and Emma earned their Liberty Kids badges for the school year.

and C.J. graduated from Kindergarten, crazy but true.  He is excited to go to 1st grade minus having to stay at school all day long. He also told me that he will be sad not to be able to eat lunch with me everyday, I am sad about that too.  He did a great job in Kindergarten.  He loves to read and do math and play with his friends, but I think he is the most excited about summer out of all the kids.
more to come on the month of may soon...
