Let's Party...Madison is 9!

For her friend party this year Madison had planned to go to the park and roast hot dogs, marshmallows, and play games, well the weather had different plans. It was SOOOO windy that day that we had to change plans and have the party at our house, so the fire was out the the games sure were fun. She wanted to play "Minute to win It"games, they were so much fun.

During this game each player had a cracker on their back and a rolled up paper. The goal is to smash everyone's cracker off while protecting your own, kind of tricky in the wind but fun.

Next game: move an Oreo from your eye to your mouth using only facial movements. This was really funny to watch. If you haven't tried it you should, very fun.

This game: move a cottonball from one bowl to another using only your nose that is covered in Vaseline. The trick to this one is getting just enough vaseline, not enough and the cottonball won't stay on, to much and it won't come off.

I think this was the favorite: balance a soda can on it's edge. The trick, you have to drink just the right amount of soda so the liquid left inside will balance the can. This game is fun for everyone, to this day when we have drinks in cans we all have to see who can balance their can first.

Madison had such a fun party and has so many great friends that came to help us celebrate!

Graduation

C.J. graduated from preschool, well for this year, he will go back next year too, but it was a fun time. This is Mrs. Pace his teacher, he thinks she is great. She was also Emma's preschool teacher and we are so glad that she will be teaching C.J. again next year.

He got to graduate with one of his best friends and cousin Caleb. These boys have so much fun together. I love to watch them play Mario Cart on the Wii. At times they will just spin the cars in circles and just laugh, it is hilarious. Boys are such fun!

It was so funny to watch C.J. sing the songs at graduation. Most of the time he just stood there and watched everyone and when his teacher would encourage them to sing louder he would make very dramatic mouth movements and facial expressions, but the volume would stay the same. It was fun to see how much he had learned, but this boy is ready for summer, because if you ask him there is never enough time to play. 5-19-10

She Smiles!

Allie started smiling a few days ago, a smile that makes her eyes light up and makes your heart melt. Those smiles are still few and far between but they are priceless.

Dance Recital

These are just a few of the pictures that we took at home because Emma was out of her costume so fast that we didn't get any on stage of the girls together. We had to bribe her to put her costume back on when we got home so we could get a few pictures of the girls together. They are pretty silly girls as you can tell.

As you can tell from these pictures Emma takes dancing very seriously. She tries very hard to do every step just right. She really did smile I just didn't get any pictures to prove it. She also informed us that this would be her last dance recital ever. She likes to dance, but says that she is ready to do something else, so we will see.

Madison on the other hand loves dancing she did an awesome job at the recital. She will continue taking dance classes this summer and is so excited about it. It is so much fun to watch both of the girls dance. 5-18-10

100!

Madison has been taking gymnastics this past year. The students get to write their name on the wall when they have done 100 back handsprings. You can see her name above her head in green.

As you can tell she wrote it as high as she could. Madison has worked really hard at gymnastics and has had a great time with her teachers and the girls in her class.

Emma had her kindergarten program on Friday. It was such a cute program complete with costumes and Mother Goose. Each of the students got to dress up as a character from a nursery rhyme. Emma choose to be the dog from Hey Diddle Diddle, I wouldn't expect anything less from this animal obsessed child. We made a costume complete with a collar. The collar never made it to the program, but she sure does make a cute puppy.

Also, notice the two missing teeth. She lost both of them last week. What is it with my kids, they sure do know how to keep the tooth fairy busy.

BIG Brother

Last week I was in the other room when I heard Allie making the cutest little baby noises, so I had to go see what was going on. This is what I saw...

C.J. was laying on the floor just talking to Allie and he informed me that she was talking back. He loves his little sister and tells her so everyday. He refers to her as SUPER BABY because she knocked over one of his cars while laying on the floor and he thought she had to be really strong to be able to do that.

This pictures shows the pure joy C.J. has in being a big brother he loves all of his sisters and especially Allie because she made him a BIG brother.
