MeRrY ChRiStMaS!

Our Visit to Santa on Main Street. C.J. kept saying that Santa was scarry, but he ended up being the first one to sit on his lap. When Santa asked him what he wanted he listed all of the names of the cars from the movie CARS, santa looked at him and said oh..would you like a train, C.J. looked totally insulted and yelled, NO I WANT CARS. he got down from santas knee after that. The girls rattled off their lists and we were finished! Thanks Santa, we love you!
The next picture is of our Nativity program on Christmas Eve, as you can tell the Shepherd and sheep got a little tired and decided to take a rest after their long journey from the hallway into the family room!

These next two pictures are of Christmas pajamas and walking up the stairs on Christmas morning, from youngest to oldest as it should be, (Madison actaully snuck up prior to this picture so when we told her that Santa didn't make it our house she knew that we were tricking) Merry Christmas to all!

This is just a glimpse of C.J.'s birthday. We had a Cars cake and ice cream and that night we went to the movie Madagascar Escape 2 Africa, he loved the movie, and it was a great family day. He walked around all day singing "happy birthday to me" it was so funny. The next night after dinner he was ready to eat cake and open presents again, it only happens once a year buddy!

Pretty Girls

Here are a few pictures that I took of Emma and Madison this weekend, they are just on our front porch, but I thought they turned out so cute!

Happy Birthday C.J.!

I have been such a slacker with my blog posts, but not having a computer makes it kind of hard, but ... we are having our final inspection on our house today, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will be moving tomorrow!
Today is C.J.'s birthday! I cannot believe that my baby is 3 today. He is growing up so fast, some of his favorite words are actually and perfectly, he has quite the vocab. Anyway he is crazy and fun and we love him so much.
What a difference 3 years can make...

Happy Birthday Buddy we love you!

First Day of 2nd Grade!

I can not believe that Madison is in 2nd grade! She was so excited to start school this year, and has been having a great time. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Chirstensen. The kids call her Mrs. C. She has made a lot of new friends, and her favorite thing to do in school is Math.

What a boy!

Here are a few pictures of C.J. the first is a picture of him in Las Vegas we were swimming obviously, he found these goggles, I am not sure who's they are, but he adopted them. He wore them most of the afternoon, He defiantly has his fathers sense of style.
This bottom picture was taken after C.J. fell off of a bar stool and smacked this face on the counter. Amazingly enough by the next day he only had a small bruise on the side of his face and a scratch on his chin... good thing he is tough. He sure didn't learn his lesson though because a few days later her was standing on the bar stool again an fell off... how many times does it take before they learn?

Las Vegas Temple

During Trevor and Alissa's wedding all of the kids stayed outside the temple during the wedding. When we came out we found these flushed kids it was a cool day in August for Las Vegas, it was only 105 degrees with a breeze that felt like the inside of a blowdryer. The wedding was beautiful and the kids didn't seem to mind the heat. It was a great day. The temple was beautiful. 8.8.08

Swimming

When we went to Las Vegas for Trevor and Alissa's wedding we did alot of swimming. We were in Vegas for a total of about 2.5 days and we found ourselves in the pool at least 6 times. The kids didn't want to do anything else. All three of them were swimming like little fish by the time we came home. It was so funny to watch C.J. he would put on his floaties and just kick his legs, he was all over the pool. Madison is learning to swim has has gotten a lot more brave, Emma is still a little timid in the water, but she is getting better thanks to the care bear floaties... you have to love the dollar store.

Can you stand on your head?

These are just some random pictures from an afternoon in Grandma's backyard. We were just playing when Emma said "watch what I can do" you can see in the 2nd picture she stood on her head for about 2 minutes, we just watched in amazement waiting for her to fall over, but she didn't. I guess we have to credit it to dragging around a body cast for six months, but then again occasionaly I do see her lifting one pound weights... You can also see that she is breed for this talent, Tom has a pretty mean handstand himself! August 2008

Congrats Trevor and Alissa

My little brother is getting married this Friday 8.8.08! I am so excited for him. He is marrying the most darling girl. Her name is Alissa and she is from Las Vegas. They are getting married in the Las Vegas temple so we are all taking a little (much needed) vacation. This past weekend some of her family came up and she went through the Manti Temple. It was such a great experience to have all of our family in the temple together. All of my brothers, my sister, sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, wow there is nothing better than being there all together.
On Saturday night they had a reception in my parents back yard here are some pictures from that Party!
A picture of the bride and groom with all of their admirers (Audrey, Josie, Madison, Lauryn, Emma)

Alissa's Little Brother Trent with a goldfish centerpiece. Trevor decided that he wanted to give away goldfish to everyone that came to the reception, they were a big hit especially with the kids!

The line...Alissa's Parents, Alissa, Trevor, Trevor's Parents.

Some of the kids enjoying there treats from the chocolate fountains, (white shirts and dresses, not a good idea, thank goodness for spray and wash!)

We had dancing after the reception, lots of fun!
Emma and Tricia dancing, so cute!

Our new project

Well I have to say that it has been way to long since I have updated our blog. It has been kind of crazy for us lately. We sold our house out of the blue. We had some people knock on our door and pretty much asked us if they could buy our house, we made a deal, and less than a month later we were moved out and they had moved it, it has been such a whirlwind, but i just keep trying to look for the light at the end of the tunnel. We have started building our new home just one block north of this one, we hope to be in around November or December. Right now we are living with my parents, they have been so great to take us and our stuff along with three kids. It is kind of crazy, but an adventure at the same time! I guess this is just part of life when you are married to a builder!
The top picture is of our new house. It is getting framed pretty quick, so we are glad about that the sooner the better like I said before!

Softball

Madison played coach pitch softball this year. She wasn't sure if she wanted to play when she first signed up, but when Tom agreed to be her coach there was no looking back. They had a great team. All of the girls were in 1st and 2nd grade(7 and 8) there were a lot of smiles and a few tear along the way. The bottom pictures is one of Madison catching. She was nervous about catching, but she finally decided to do it, and decided that it was pretty fun. She learned a lot and still wants to play catch with her dad every day!

Ear aches!

We were lucky enough to have two kids with ear aches just a day apart, well..I guess lucky isn't the best word to describe it. It was weird because Emma wasn't even sick. She didn't have a fever or complain that her ear hurt, but she could not hear us. When we would stand behind her and say her name, or clap or yell, she wouldn't even move. It freaked me out, like she was loosing her hearing or something, but sure enough it was a lovely ear infection. The Dr. was supprised that her ear drum didn't burst or something, so one shot, and 2 weeks later she can hear again, now it is just getting her to listen that is the trick!
The next night C.J. was up all night with a fever and complaining that his ear hurt, so the next day we were at the Dr.s office again with an ear infection and a gain one shot later and he was feeling great! What are the chances of this happening when ear infections are not contagious?

Primary Party

C.J. saying "I'm freezing" what a cheesy grin
Emma posing with her towel
Madison and Josie sliding on the tarp!

We had a ward primary party at the Lions Park. The kids had a great time, and the weather even cooperated. The wind quit as the party was starting and the clouds rolled in just as it was ending. The kids were able to play water volley ball with water balloons, water gun fights, and slide on a huge wet tarp. They topped it all off with ice cream cones!

Sand Dunes

We went to the Mussuntuchut(sp) Sand Dunes. I had never been there before. You get there by going up Salina Canyon (I think) past Gooseberry a ways than on this road that winds around for a while and there are a lot of black rocks on the ground, (now aren't those some good directions?! I wasn't driving, so I am not really sure how we got there). So it is crazy there is just this huge sand hill in the middle of all these rocks. The sand was amazingly soft and fine. When you moved it it was like if was flowing like water, it was so awesome. The kids loved it, and we took the 4-wheeler to ride around, and Tom got pretty daring making a loop on the hill and then trying to go higher each time.

Madison was pretty brave to jump over a hole into Tom's arms. The hills were great to run and jump down because they were so steep. The hiking up part wasn't as much fun but once we were on top it was pretty cool!

More Pic's from Madison's Birthday!

Madison had a great 7th birthday, thanks to all of her family and friends, here are just a few pictures from that Day! The one thing that she really wanted was a Webkins, she got 2 of them. A frog that she named Rose and a puppy named Rosy. If you don't know what Webkins are, apparently they are all the rage in the 1st grade!, it is a stuffed animal that comes with a code that you enter in online and then you have a virtual pet that you can take care of. You have to play games to earn money to buy things for your pet such as food, clothing, a house and so on. Who ever invented this has a very popular website, because now Madison is playing on it everyday, she takes it very seriously telling me "I have to play so that I can feed my animals" what kind of parent would I be to tell her no? So after her jobs and school work are finished she has 20 minutes on the computer, Hopefully it will teach her some responsibility in the process.
Grandma and Grandpa Bogh came to visit on her birthday and gave her lot of art activity book and paper, which are perfect for her since she wants to be an artist when she grows up! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.
She also got a guitar we aren't really sure how to tune it or anything, but she loves to try and play it. I think Tom or I are going to have to learn how to play it so that we can teach her!
