First Haircut

Allie had her first hair cut courtesy of Aunt Alyssa
I can not believe how long her hair has gotten, but she needed the ends trimmed up and evened out. I thought she might freak out, nope, she climbed up on the bench and just sat there very still until it was all done.
Her hair looks so much better now, she is just growing up to dang fast...

Back to School

I seriously feel like the kids just barely got out of school for the summer and here we are going back again.  The kids were excited and ready, me not so much.  I love having my kids home all the time, I miss them so much when they are at school. But, no matter what I want they are back in school, all three of them, all day long...

Madison is is 6th grade so that means middle school for her.  She has been  a little nervous all summer, but after orientation and figuring out where she needed to be and practicing her locker combination about a thousand times she was ready to go.

Emma was excited too. She is in 3rd grade this year, which means a new school for her as well.  We went a few days early to meet her teacher and find her desk and make sure she knew where the bathroom was, and she was set.  She is excited to go to school and is especially excited about the field trip to Gooseberry in a few weeks.

C.J. is in 1st grade, which means school all day long.  I think he was excited, but a bit nervous, or maybe he is just a boy and is like whatever no big deal.  He got to meet his teacher the day before school started as well so he felt good about it all.

This little lady is the one having the hardest time with the kids being gone all day.  We went out to play in the rain with her new 'lumlella' (umbrella).  She had been asking for her 'guys' (madi, emma, c.j.) all day.  When I told her it wasn't time to pick them up yet for about the 20th time, the face on the right is what I got, she missed them so much that first day and everyday since.

After school we went to the dairy for ice cream and everyone told us about their day.  The first day was a success for all of them.  They enjoyed it and I guess I will survive without them, but I doesn't mean that I am happy about it.

sisters

This little girl is so cute, and she loves to get her picture taken, she can be quite a poser.  Here are just a few we took one afternoon.

I wanted to get some new pictures of all the kids, but C.J. decided to go fishing instead.  Allie was very cooperative, the big girls only came becasue I promised them ice cream, but we got a few cute ones even though it was decievingly bright outside.

I Love these girls!

boating

We had a fun afternnon at the lake.  The kids loved riding on the tube and in the boat.
Snaks are always important

Playing on the beach was also fun.  Emma was totally crazy on the tube.  She has become a dare devil this summer wanting to try everything.  She loved standing up on the tube.  She also wanted to ride with the adults when they were on the tube, becasue that ment a faster, more crazy ride.
Madison was much more interested in swimming than riding on the tube.
and Tom and I still have it on the wake board,  well Tom does anyway, I was just happy to get up.
The weather was warm and the water was perfect, we had a great time.

Summer Fun

We have spent some time in the water this summer.  We have been to Seven Peaks 3 times, and the kids have loved it so much.  Allie has become a little water baby.  The first time we went she was great to leave her life jacket on the whole time, the last time she fought me the entire time.
I only took a few pictures becasue we were having to much fun.

We have also been mini golfing in the dark, well glow in the dark.
Emma spent a week preparing for a production of the Wizard of Oz.  She was a Winkie.

She had so much fun preparing for the play and having Tricia there with her was a fun bonus.
